Who the heck is this guy?

Here I am with one of my favorite people in the world- Inge Soens, aka Ken’s mom.

A little bit about me- I’m a financial advisor and insurance specialist. I help people create and implement strategies to realize their financial goals and most of all, create a sense of confidence about the future for themselves and their families. I have access to a broad array of company resources including research analysts and economic and market strategists. I help people make informed investment decisions based on their specific needs. My areas of focus includes portfolio management, alternative investments, wealth management, estate planning strategies, life and long term care insurance, personal and business health insurance, COBRA,  ACA (Affordable Care Act) and the Health Insurance Marketplace, Medicare - including Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement and Part D coverage, IRA's and IRA rollovers, 401K's, 403b's and other corporate retirement plans.

That’s my professional life. What does fun look like?  Food (dining out and cooking), travel, live music, fast cars and motorcycles are all things I enjoy immensely. When I’m really lucky- I’m experiencing all of those in the same day. And yes, I've got an opinion about almost everything and I love a good debate. Bring it on!

Like Ken, I spent my formative years growing up on the far northwest side of Chicago. Unlike Ken, I'm still a Chicago resident and now live on the near west side.

Ken and I have discussed the prospect of the Bears moving to Indiana. Our opinion is that the McCaskey family is being greedy and doesn't care about the history and most of all, the loyal fan base that has stuck with the team in spite of fielding some pretty lackluster teams over the years. The most recent valuation has the team worth $8.9 billion.  Yet they want tax breaks and perhaps financial help building a domed stadium. Should we have a bake sale too and contribute the proceeds to the new stadium fund? I don't think think the Illinois taxpayers should be subsidizing a wealthy business that owes much of it's glory and value to the fans that have stuck with it through thick and thin. I don't want to pay a penny more in taxes for this project. What do you think? Let us know.
